    By Jake Donovan

Later this evening at Casino del Sol in Tucson, AZ, unbeaten super featherweight prospect Diego Magdaleno (21-0, 7KO) takes on late replacement Fernando Beltran, Jr. (36-7-1, 20KO) in a scheduled 10-round main event to air live on Showtime's Shobox: The New Generation series.

Garcia fought the more spirited battle. Just because one fighter looks more polished should not sway judges in a fight. Less experienced, awkward fighters often beat more polished ones because of tenacity, will, and determination. I stopped counting how many thudding body punches Garcia landed. At least this time they credited body shots, unlike in a lot of fights.
