  • Comments Thread For: Lennox Lewis: David Haye May Do Better Against Vitali

Former undisputed heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis believes that his countryman David Haye (25-2, 23KOs) is still capable of capturing a world championship. Haye, who lost a twelve round decision to Wladimir Klitschko in 2011 and then retired last October, would like to face WBC champion Vitali Klitschko.

Rubbish. David Haye's nothing but a wanted criminal in Germany. After serving 2 years he can come and join the line. He needs to fight some people to prove himself and even if he fought Vitali he would get knocked out anywhere. What happened to Adamek is what would happen to Haye. The only person with a chance of beating Vitali is Chisora, like it or not styles make fights.

If Haye gets another big payday against Vitali, he'll just stomp on his toe prior to the fight until it's broken. His backup excuse plan is to dislocate his pinky finger.

well since Povetkin and Fury will not even mention the k2s...I'd like to see david haye fight big K. Why not? don't like it, don't watch. But you will!!

Chisora had the style to challenge Vitali, which is moving forward and getting on the inside. Haye can target Vitali with his speed, explosiveness and agility; Vitali has probably not been challenged by someone of Haye's caliber either. Still I see Vitali using his experience to wear Haye down and demolish him; that is, if Haye comes TO FIGHT, unlike the farcical display he put on against Wlad. Haye will have to find a new gameplan, then it can get interesting.

But hey, this fight will never happen, anyway...

It depends which toe he breaks. In seriousness though if he gets back inline and has a good warm up fight against another serious contender, I'd happily watch. Only under those terms, I wouldn't want to see him queue jump. How very British of me.

I said this waaaaaayyyyyyy back before Haye and Wlad even agreed to fight....at that time they were still barking at each other....hearing Lewis say this reminds me of a Jay-Z line on the "Watcher 2"

I had it laid out ‘fore you knew what a plan was
Three hundred mill’ later, now you understand us

He just might. I hate it, but it's true. Vitali has slowed down, if he slows down even more Haye may actually come close to beating him and maybe even do so.

Truth is HAYE WOULD BEAT VITALI. I have nothing against the KLITS, excepth etehir personalities are very dry..... Good fighters but boring. I really didnt think Haye would beat WLAD, but I honestly feel that if haye is healthy and fights with speed he can beat Vitali....

MOFOS talking about HAYE AND HIS TOE, but let anyone on this goddamn board have a toe looking like David Haye's and them mofos would be calling in for work.... LMAO!!!

I mean honestly you cant beat the heavyweight champion with bad feet (wheels).

You gotta be in tip top shape to do battle. Haye shouldnt have taken the fight, but I think he was under the impression of what the fans would say, and people would say he was dodging.
