If @maravillabox-JCC Jr fight, it won't be in June. Chavez wants that date, doesn't want SM as his opponent. September-October, possibly.

One would think it would be a good time for Jcc Jr. to step up considering Martinez was just in a tough grueling fight and June would be a very quick turnaround for an older fighter.

IF he isn't willing to fight in June under those circumstances I don't see why he would fight him ever~

C'mon, it's obvious that they're not going to fight. Chavez Jr is avoiding Martinez like the plague. They were supposed to fight last year but Chavez Jr "asked" for permission to defend against Manfredo, then it was going to be Martinez. Then he asked again for permission to face Rubio, but hey, then it was going to be Martinez. Now we're going to see him against Margarito or someone like that, but hen it's going to be Martinez! LOL

I really dont think Chavez is ready for martinez, regardless of his size. And I think he knows he's not ready for Sergio. maybe two fights away.. But is he gonna give up that belt? hell no.

I'll be surprised if he fights sergio after this next fight..

If Chavez jr is on his last contracted fight with Aurum and doesn't want to sign an extension, it makes sense for him to wait to be free before what could be his most lucrative fight.

The longer JCC jr waits, the better chance he has of beating Sergio, which right now is very small

and the plot thickens. why doesnt he just come out and say he doesnt want this fight? why waste everyones time acting like this is something he wants when he clearly doesnt.

To be honest I would be suprised if Chavez fights Martinez at all considering Arum keeps stalling on this scrap.

Personally I think Bob is holding out for a showdown with Canelo given DLH and Bob hold hands and kiss/make up again. There is a lot of money to be made considering they are both so hyped in Mexico.

But, we all know for the most part that a Chavez/Martinez fight will be a high risk fight for JR and the odds of him pulling off the upset seem slim to knill and slim is in a South Bronx basement playing dominos...

Because, in that way he doesn't get to keep his belt.

Now I personally think the title is whack. I don't really care if a fighter is carrying a belt or not. But, I guess fighters like paying sanctioning fees
