The division isn't likely to get better until the Klitchkos are gone.
There are no established heavyweights other than them, so every new prospect coming up has to deal with them before really maturing into a more well rounded fighter.
The division is even worse than it was near the end of Lennox's career, but when Lennox got into the late 90's and Holyfield was on his way out/Tyson was on his way out already, the division was already taking a nose dive. Still though, Lennox's resume is better than the Klitschko's in my opinion. Even though Holyfield and Tyson were past it when Lennox got to them, it wasn't his fault Rid**** Bowe, the best HW around that time other than Lennox, didn't want to fight.
Telling it like it is but you have to take into account many top heavyweights don't want to fight the Klitschkos. Hopefully the next few years should liven up with some decent Heavy prospects.
Awful article - author is obviously a huge hater of the Klitschkos. To say "he knocked out Vitali Klitschko in the sixth round in a title defense" is ridiculous. Lewis stopped him on cuts, TKO'ed him, but he wasn't even close to knock him out. If Lewis knocked Vitali out, then Cris Byrd did exactly the same thing - he knocked him out (cold) too, according to this author. What an idiot!
Than again, Lewis isn't much better - he was a great fighter (not on Ali or Louis level, but definitely top-10 of all time IMO), but he is jealous. He shouldn't say they are boring considering the fact he had a lot of boring fights as well.
