Adrien Broner should fight Argenis Mendez on May 19th

Mendez is the #7 ranked SFW by the RING and arguably beat Juan Carlos Salgado last year, in a highly controversial fight where Mendez knocked Salgado down late in the fight. He was voiced his opinion on wanting to fight Adrien Broner in the past. Escobedo won't be until the fall. Tomlinson already has a fight, Uchiyama and Ao aren't leaving Japan, Magdaleno is TR and Roman Martinez in usually TR affiliated it seems like.

Mendez would be a really solid fight and a good win for Broner.

Would be a good fight for Broner, but I don't know if GBP even looks Mendez's way. Something tells me Broner is gonna get a pretty soft touch for this fight, hope I'm wrong though. Beating Eloy Perez, Argenis Mendez, and then Vicenter Escobedo? Not too bad if he does it.

Since he's not going to get Uchiyama or Ao to come to America, and will probably not get fights with Magdaleno or Martinez, he still has options at 130 before he goes to LW.

Argenis Mendez, Vicente Escobedo, Will Tomlinson, Bryan Vasquez, Juan Carlos Salgado, all good fights.

Hopefully GBP matched Escobedo with someone like Martin Rodriguez, Jorge Solis, or one of those other guys that Broner wouldn't end up fighting. It'd make a Broner-Escobedo fight more legit.
