We get it, if floyd fights manny he ducks sergio, if he fights sergio he ducks manny.
So who is he going to fight?

    A) Manny

    B) Sergio

    C) None of the above

    Which one are you choosing?

I'll choose C and say he'll fight Morales or Canelo on cinco de mayo weekend and make $60 million or more.

THis way you can b1tch and moan some more.

He'll fight Canelo and unify against him. Canelo brings far more fans, money, and championship recognition than Martinez does.

if he beats Cotto and stays at JMW, then it's a different story
Sergio goes back down, calls for Floyd while Floyd has a JMW belt?
then it's avoidance if Floyd says no
as of now, it's a non issue
If Floyd beats Cotto and plans to fight again at 154lbs, Martinez is the toughest fight he can have at that weight.

Martinez has already called him out numerous times.

I Floyd turns the fight down for what ever reason, then it is a duck.

Fans of boxing want to see this fight.

I pretty much agree with your stance.

I think it will happen May 2013 and I think he may beat floyd. I think its Manny/Sergio dec/nov. Only way he doesn't do canelo is if he does sergio then manny. But I think manny is gonna fire Bob, take $50-55 mil to fight floyd, then retire win or lose.

Of course, you gotta beat cotto.

That's a completely plausible scenario. Man I hope Pac fires Arum.

Paper title, boy band fanbase, and it is no no for recognition and legacy. Martinez is a special fighter, Canelo has been specially protected.

So even though everybody agrees Martinez is the better fighter, and the tougher opponent, some says they don't want Floyd to take the fight.

You lot should form The FPS "Floyd Preservation Society".

I've been watching boxing since 1979. Seen fights everywhere from crappy hotel ballrooms to MSG in NYC to MGM in vegas. I've met fighters and even drank with Larry Holmes in his bar in Easton. You done the equivalent?

If he were to beat Canelo he will have 4 championships in 4 divisions, tying Pacquiao for the record. That means a lot for recognition and legacy.
