Pacman have been more worried about not being able to entertain than anything else.
So I can see why Pac wants to retire. Boxing is now a chore or an obligation to fulfill rather than something to enjoy because he loves it. The competition hasn't been very satisfying. When he's in the ring he wants to give the fans their money's worth. But I can't blame him. His opponents haven't been helping with the entertainment part. They just step in the ring to survive and not to win. Pac is terrified of the audience when no activity is happening. He's forced to engage because the opponents always act as the titleholders rather than the challengers. They're too terrified to give a back and forth offense like we used to see in past Pacman's fights.
We're hoping that Bradley will bring the Pacman back to life by stepping in the ring to win not just to survive.

What we have here is the same back in the old days with Leonard and Hearns , Leonard and Hagler, the back and forth who will win who will lose.
Thing is we today have so much info flowing, minute by minute unlike yesterday in the 60's and I was looking daily at the sports page for any piece of info on Cassius Clay or during the time of the Vietnam war when he didn't fight for about 3 years and the talk of who would win between Ali and Frazier.
We have so much info flowing its like having too much time on your hands and it becomes a waste of time.
We are inbetween, we who love the sport and love the diverse aspects of the sport (some love a boxer, others a puncher or slugger etc) waiting for more news ,something of value and thats when we digress to other things like hate or taxes and etc that has nothing to do with boxing.
Boxing :
Floyd verses Pac
Floyd JR ought to box the ears off of Pac. Actually it just stands to right he should do that.
I saw the fight between Hagler and Leonard in Atlanta Ga on the big screen, and said Hagler must come out not respecting Leonard but treat him like he did Hearns,,,,AHHHHHHHHHH you could see it from the seats in his eyes and a smile on Leonards face ,,,HAGLER didn't ATTACK , he lost. Hagler never lived it down , the doubt cost him the fight.
Until the last JMM fight I saw NO doubt in Pac, and my premise of many was I saw much doubt in Floyd. That little doubt can cost you the fight.
Jr ought to box the ears off of Pac , BUT , like Leonard , I think Pac will be the first to take it to Jr MUCH MUCH worse than Castillo 1 and
ALL WILL SEE WHAT JR IS REALLY MADE OF :
S### !!!!!!!!!!!
I am ready to be made wrong !!!!!!
I am ready to eat crow !!!!!!!!
I am ready to tell you I told you so !!!!!!!
Fighters need to stop all the demands and BRING ON THE FIGHT
The things manny brings to the table are offset by the mistakes he makes when applying his weapons. Only seasoned boxers can exploit these mistakes. So he may provide floyd a tough challenge, or he may get waxed.
WHile I respect but disagree with your opinion, since you saw Hagler SRL then you know Bob made Hagler wait 5 years. He's doing the same here with floyd. He's trying to make sure his guy has the advantages. Only this time he doesn't have the bigger earner so he can't leverage purse split for other advantages.
Floyd is smart enough not to give into this bull**** for a few million dollars. Had hagler been as smart, he may have a TKO win over SRL.

I blame both fighters but more so Pacquiao because If he would of just agreed to bloodtests to prove he was clean coming off that Cotto win the first go around this fight would have been done and over with, yet here we are in 2012 still talking about it, floyd will be danm near 36 and Pacquiao is an old 33/34, even if they do end up fighting they might as well theme it as the "farewell fight" for both of em, their time has come..
It's very clear. Floyd wants none of it.
