Martinez benefited from his two fights against an over-rated Williams and weight drained drunk in Pavlik... Apart from those guys his MW comp is wack... This guy needs to fight a Pirog or even a Jacobs to solidify his claim to untouchable at 160... An 11 round TKO against a very slow and skill deprived Macklin isn't going to get it... No more slow guys, even though Jacobs got KOed he'll push Sergio better than these guys but the best fight at MW is Martinez vs. Pirog.... But I don't think that will happen....
    that is just plain nonesense

Pirog is older than Barker and Macklin. Jacobs is a nobody he is untested. I think Macklin beats him and Barker is a close fight. I'm not even a Martinez fan but you are straight hating and talking out of your ass. You have no clue what you're talking about. Honestly

Remember all the talk about Proksa too? LOL. That clown just lost to a bum.

And Pirog has looked BAD against BUMS since jacobs. let's just top the non sense.

Yes he did. Pirog was always better than Proksa in my opinion. He beat an older Sebastian Slyvester who just lost to Daniel Geale. Dmitry Pirog needs to have another big win though to have people talking about him more often and really make a case for Martinez vs. Pirog to happen. He literally hasn't done anything since his Jacobs win.

HBO commentary had an agenda and thats why they were biased. Hard to stay biased against Sergio when Macklin was flat on his back.

At no point was Sergio not comfortable in the fight. Whoever had Macklin ahead should no longer be allowed anywhere near the sport. Sergio expected Macklin to come forward infront of his Irish crowd but he tried to make it a dull fight so Sergio adjusted and knocked him out. Thats all there is to it really. I didnt see it as a struggle but can appeciate that Sergio did take his foot off the gas and dance abit too much in the early rounds.

I concede the younger case for Pirog but he is stroner, I quoted a bad source without going to BoxRec, but he is stronger than those guys... You can always say who was so and so.... My point who was Sergio Martinez before 2007??? Just a guy that Margarito KOed, Pirog and Jacobs are faster than those guys and stronger... Who was Barker or Maklin's signature wins??? I guess they beat more impressive guys than Jacobs and Pirog??? Those guy are slow stiffs with no power, Barker had a little skill but no power... At least Jacobs and Pirog will have a decent chance to win at worst a puncher's chance... Pirog more so than Jacobs... What was these last couple of guys chances to win??? They didn't even have a puncher's chance of wininng and yes these guys are slow.... Sergio is not anything we haven't seen before. Someone said he makes them look slow, well that's not hard to do. Sergio has good speed which looks even better against stiffs, Martinez isn't any faster than a Ray Leonard or Roy Jones at MW... Roy Jones looked super fast at MW against James Tony and Bernard Hopkins not Barker and Macklin... Martinez came along at the right time, it happens in boxing from time to time his biggest wins to date at MW came against over-rated post Quitana Paul Williams at a 157 catchweight and a very slow and weight drained drunk Kelly Pavlik post Benard Hopkins... I give him credit for those wins but beating these european guys that are slower than him with less skill and power than him in 11 rounds isn't that impressive... The two guys I named have the power and strength to push Martinez...
