Comments Thread For: Amir Khan Fires at Kell Brook, Rips Him Over Competition

Former two division champion Amir Khan has fired back at his domestic rival Kell Brook. Following Saturday night's twelve round domination of Matthew Hatton, Brook and his promoter, Eddie Hearn, continued to challenge and taunt Khan for a fight in the near future. Brook said that he proved Khan wrong, claiming the Bolton boxer favored the quality of Hatton. He later told Khan he would "smash him" in the ring.

I like Khan but that was a ****** statement to make.

"Fight someone in the top 50"

Matthew Hatton - Ranked top 10 WBA and IBF, 11th in WBC.

Once again Khan speaks before he thinks and looks ******. Big surprise. But for the first time I agree with Khan. Brook hasn't fought anyone, a bunch of british and european club fighters.

First off Khan is not a two division champ. He's won two alphabets at 140 and some meaningless rubbish at 135.

Second... Khan is correct. Brook is good but he's not fought anyone decent yet. Nothing close to world class. Hatton is a C level fighter at best. Brook needs to beat some elites and then the Khan fight can happen. It would help if Brook started fighting in the states, I think he would pick up a good following and face much better opposition.

I do agree that Kell Brook needs to step up his level of opposition but Khan saying he should fight a top 50 opponent is ****** when he has. If I was Brook I would be looking at Senchenko/ Berto/ Ortiz/ Jones/ Alexander. If he's good enough to beat 1 or 2 of those names then a fight with Khan would come later and there would be more money in it then because Brook would be more established!!
