Ok, back to Martinez, as DiBella stated to me, lets hope they return as quickly as possible, with or without HBO and.... #boxing

... and he stays out there in the public eye and just builds his case as his own entity and not just chase fights... #boxing

Sergio should just fight these guys(Golovkin, Pirog) to shut up there 10 or so fans.

not the say that they aren't tough. But Sergio can beat both.

I think he will fight Andy Lee before he fights either of those guys.

I'm just glad one of the 3 are now eliminated. Proksa is out of the picture, now the other two hypejobs. The ESPN fighter, who's best wins are one a decision against Ian Gardner, and a late TKO over a good sparring partner Kassim Ouma.

Pirog still high off of his only good win against a prospect.

While Sergio has Paul Williams, Kelly Pavlik, Sergiy Dzinzuruk, Kermit Cintron*, and now Matthew Macklin, under his belt.

I tend to favor the idea that the Champion shouldn't have to travel.

He's the Champion. Especially if he's the legit Champ at that weight class.

Sergio thought he would get robbed in the Pavlik fight because he felt like the road fighter.

Not exactly a big home advantage for Sergio.

great news. not sure if it's possible, even martinez said it's unlikely, but he should try and get a fight in argentina. from what i've read and heard from martinez, he's not as huge as one would think there. i think giving them a fight would benefit him a lot with argentines being serious fans of him and seriously supportng him.
that, or having a fight in the west coast. i think he could possibly draw a crowd in cali if they price the tickets pretty cheap. he's always fighting in the east coast, i think they should really try it, see how it goes. i wonder who they'll fight next if it is a quick fight back from tonight. looking forward to hearing what comes of this.
