I see a reoccurring theme with all these anti-merchant threads.

All of them are started and fueled by Floyd fans....smh

TBH the only sports crews I enjoy more than HBO's Lampley, Merchant, and Kellerman are Barkley and Kenny Smith w/ NBA, and Corso and Herbstreet doing college football games.

I didn't mind his commentary and I have always been a fan of Larry. What threw me off was the post fight interview and how he was so arrogant.

don't hate Merchant now though, when Mayweather fans complain about him people defend him...but when he talks about other fighters now all of a sudden "HE NEEDS TO RETIRE" lol'

Merchant is probably on Arum's PAY ROLL, probably paid him to BASH MARTINEZ so Top Rank won't have to make the Chavez Jr vs Martinez fight lol

Thatīs boxing, everybody expected a different Macklin, he always fought as a bully, putting pressure and high pace. Today he didnīt do that. Sergio still was winning rounds imo, but when the "knockdown" happened, they released a beast, and that is exciting. The last 3 rounds of the fight, Mack was beated so hard, but so hard.

And another thing that gets lost in all this hate is Macklin's performance. He showed up, fought a different more disciplined fight, and gave it his all.

Not only did he have a solid gameplan, but he actually executed that gameplay and fought a composed fight. Early on I thought Sergio was trying to potshot and make him work, looking to drown him in deep waters.

Ultimately he got him, but Macklin was tough. He paced himself well early on and wasn't half as reckless as I thought he'd be. When Sergio did catch up to him, he was still fighting to win and did make it two his feet twice after two hard KD's. Of course, it's easier for morons to say Sergio's overrated and whatever else than actually praise Mack for stepping his game up.
