Much much better in comparison to how he's looked in the past, before he was no different from Maidana. He showed better skills here, needs to go to the body a little more, good performance nonetheless. Hopefully I don't see the same Rodriguez from the Pryor, McGirt, Rosinsky fight again.

What Do You Know, Rodriquez can box

Rodriquez won his second belt last night. The first was in Fargo N.D. 16 months ago, and he won that with a TKO over James McGirt Jr. by being the "fan friendly give and take puncher" he knew how to be under Peter Manfredo Sr.. What you saw last night out of Edwin is the direct result of Ronnie Shields important work in Houston.

Now, Lou DiBella is screwed. I heard the after-fight call in the Fargo locker room from Lou...it wasn't pretty, and his message was Edwin needed to learn how to box. This match, Lou promised "bombs away". Edwin took Ronnie's game plan and executed it to about 80% of perfection - lost his focus a couple of times. Lou didn't get his bombs....but he got his boxer.
