I hope he does. I mean, those comments ought to get somebody's attention. They sounded like fighting words to me lol.

Rigo is right though. He's basically saying that at 9 fights, he has a title and is in the picture to fight them and have them make excuses...which speaks less about them and more about how good he is..

Rigo doesn't need to take needless risks against lesser fighters imo. Rigo is so economical. I love how almost everything he does seems to have a purpose. I think a guy like Mares could get him to throw more. The way Donaire has looked, I don't think he'd need to let his hands fly as much. Donaire is there to be hit by a smart counter puncher (imo). Mares and Arce vs Rigo would be good. Arce gets stopped...not sure about Mares the kid has a chin. Nishioka vs Rigo would be a great fight, not sure how that one goes. Not saying Nishioka is better than Donaire, but I feel stylistically he'd have a better chance. I feel Rigo matches up better vs Donaire, and Donaire matches up better with Nishioka. Dat rock paper scissors.

While Guillermo sits back and potshots his opponents sometimes and it's not very exciting, the fact he has the ability to toy with his opponents that have so much more pro experience and are top ten contenders, just goes to show you how advanced of a boxer he is. If Rigo goes defensive and potshots you, there's nothing you can really do. If he charges you full forced, his foot and handspeed, timing and his range is so astonishing, the guy is nearly unstoppable.

I remember back in '09 I brought up Rigondeaux as a prospect to keep an eye on, and no one knew who the hell I was talking about, now they do. And honestly, there's VERY few out there that could TRULY challenge his technical skills.

Sorry to say, but Nishioka would get utterly outclassed, while a good fighter, he is not on Rigondeaux's skill level.

Glad you think so, but most people seem to find Rigo boring. I think he's extremely skilled and talented, but people tend to like more aggression.

Like I told somebody the other day, but how good of a body shot can he take?

I think Mares is so well conditioned it'd take more than one solid body shot to stop him. Rigo can catch him at the worst time though (inbetween punches from weird angles) . I think Mares loses that fight, but I think he's possibly durable enough to make it all the way but who knows...Vic can punch but as he's gone up it hasn't exacty come with him...and nobody will accuse Agbeko of being a devestating puncher.

Rigo's skill set is a nightmare. Accurate is an understatement, he's not quite Floyd accurate, but he's up there...Not just that but he has a great defense coupled with a powerful punch AND he goes to the body? Good luck comfortably making a fight against him if you're a promoter...
