Edwin Valero - How far could he have gone?

I was thinking that its coming up to 2 years since Valero hit the self destruct button and his life spiralled out of control.

He was at the highest point of his career and coming off his most complete performance against Tony DeMarco. Still boasting an incredible 100% record of wins/KOs and seemingly getting better with every fight.

How far could this guy have gone? He was a beast of a puncher and a better fighter than given credit for. Could he have unified at 135? (bear in mind Marquez was lineal champ then). Would we have seen him at 140 against the likes of Maidana or Peterson etc...

Who would you have liked to see him face and how far do you think he could have gone?

if valero reached a point he has to face fighters like casa or JMM, he would've lost those fights...

juan diaz, katsidis and barrios could've been "pick ems"...

His best win was still DeMarco, a pretty good win. He could have lost to Marquez, Rios, Linares, Casamayor, and Guerrero. The man was bat s**t crazy, oh well.

                  Rios-Valero would've made Stewart jizz 20 times.
