I would love to see a sharp, motivated Hamed come in to the ring and fight Barrera. I think it's too soon for a fight though. If he's really serious he needs a few tune ups, not just one. Barrera's too solidOriginally posted by JUYJUYNaz said he 100% wants Barrera.
Additionally we all know what lay-offs do to fighters, even (and especially) the greatest ones.
Hamed's legacy is still superb, I'm not sure he really needs this. I will watch and hope but the odds are stacked highly against him regaining his early-mid career form.Comment

Naz looks terrible. This comeback is a joke and a desprete move by hamed's camp to make a few bucks before someone kicks his ass. A 5ft 3 lightweight who's been out for 4 years gonna beat Barrera, a man who has already beaten Hamed up. Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeee!Comment

You've bummed him.Originally posted by theirononemaussa will win a beauty contest before naz fights again
Anyway, I can't believe anyone would come out of a four-year retirement and take on someone as dangerous as Barrera after just ONE fight. I'm not saying I don't believe it will happen, I'm saying Naz is an idiot to come back that way. That's even worse than Ali challenging Frazier for the title as his third fight in six months after a three-year layoff.
I wonder what Naz's style will be now? He can't go back to the Brendan Ingle reflex style, surely?

IF....Hamed does fight Barrera after one warm up fight then it won't be a question of fighting style or ability, it'll be a money issue. Hamed wants money, his name is probably still worth a few million and since he certainly doesn't care about the sport anymore ( if he did he'd have made an effort to fight before now ) he has a kinda uncashed check ( cheaque for the Brits out there ). He's gonna cash his lotto ticket and barrera is gonna spar with Hamed and get paid decently too! Its not a competitive match, it's to benefit hamed's bank account.Originally posted by AnorakYou've bummed him.
