hell no--but cotto is a fighter--he will train hard and he will lose----he's always had a tempered pace which has been tricky against faster fighters but he's never faced a fighter like floyd, he's not fighting manny--he's fighting a complete fighter---he showed some success against manny in the 1st couple of rounds until the kd's--but i don't see him being nothing more than a moving punching back against floyd who will systematically wear his ass down and stop him in the mid rounds---
Does Cotto have a chance against Floyd?

I'm surprised so many people are saying no. Although I seriously doubt Cotto will win, I can see him causing Mayweather a lot of trouble. He's got a decent, strong jab, he's pretty accurate with his punches and he's generally pretty tough.
That said, I think Mayweather takes it on points...Comment

If Cotto can back Mayweather up, he'll be tough to beat. When Floyd lays on the ropes with that high guard, you can be sure a left hook to the body is coming.
That said, of course Floyd has the better overall skills and speed. Cotto has the power. He also has a good stiff jab.
As an aside, isn't it kind of sad that Floyd's toughest test is from a past prime Cotto that Pacquiao destroyed? Why is Floyd fighting Pacquiao's leftovers? Of course we know, "we're not fighting to see who the best is, we're in the cheque cashing business"Comment
