Why do some dislike Hatton so much?

I am bemused by some of the posts on here today!!!
Hatton fights with strength, bravery and integrity and is the most down to earth guy you could meet, yet SOME on here continue to rip him to shreds!
Tonights fight by Ricky's own admission was not the most stylish but he went about his job with a steel eyed intensity, Maussa has a knightmare style and will never be involved in a 'pretty' fight, Hatton after a difficult start due to the cuts went about breaking him up and then delivered an awesome KO, another title job done!

Yet there are some on here who want it all, they expect the footwork of Ali and the combinations of Leonard finished by a Tyson KO!
How often do we see that?

Ricky demolished Maussa and won each round and has taken his record to 40-30-0, he is exciting and honest, he fights in a similar way to a young Tyson but still he recieves flak???

He may not beat Mayweather but if it happens Mayweather will know he has been in a fight!

Mainly b/c he has been a very protected fighter. And I'm not a fan of his style. The only volume puncher I like is Kassim Ouma. Can't stand most volume punchers. Most of them waste so much energy. Just wild brawlers, most of them.

I guess because the European Refs and announces only favor thier fighters, they dislike americans fighters, for example the boxing Nikolai Valuev vs Gerald Nobles 11-20-2004 fight was waves off a DQ because of low blows, but look at the fight he is 7'0 tall and nobles did his best to hit high, and the fight was stop premature, nothing severe lol

Is it becuase he has fought mostly in England? He's English!

It was never protection in his selection of fights, he fought some excellent fighters along the way and picked the so called Light Welter No 1 in Tszyu, he missed some fights because of Frank Warren but honestly does Hatton seem like a fighter who would duck anyone, he's hardly a battle shy dancing queen who's concerned with protecting his looks!

I respect Hatton he has decent boxing skills, unmatched stamina, great body work, but he is a dirty fighter.
