When the son (Ramirez Jr.) stop the first fight, Juanma went on to make the same accusations. There were made and talked about within the PR media and fans themselves. It seems to me that it got brushed under the rug, sort of kept on the island.

Prior to this fight. The media brought up Salido wanting one of the judges changed and that he was successful. They did not bring up the fact that Juanma's camp did not want Ramirez, stating that there was conflict of interest (stemming from the prior incident/accusations towards the son). In other words (IMO), they were thinking the ole man was out to get'm before the fight ever started.

Everything played out like they thought, at least in Juanma's mind.

I believe that the WBO is being so hard because of the past and the fact that team Juanma has kept it ongoing.

As for the judges, they need to be suspended for mere attempt. LOL.... If it would've gotten to there cards, boxing would've been scarred again.

Anyways, I think they are being ridiculous with the 1 year suspension. People have done worst things!! Hell Miguel Cotto once said that the WBO could go to hell to Varcarcel's face!!
A 1 year suspension by the WBO is meaningless. Same as the suspension the WBC put on Chisora. They have absolutely no power which is one of the reasons they are such jokes. Hell, even the commissions are pretty toothless given that other states and countries will license fighters even when they've lost their license for bad conduct elsewhere.

Moreover, clearly Lopez was concussed. You'd think the WBO--a BOXING organization--would be a little more measured in addressing this issue and allow the medical information of Lopez to be considered before rushing to some decision.

The ABC belts really need to stay out of this stuff, that is more up to the boxing commissions in my opinion. They never used to do this stuff until recently.

Sounds like someone at the WBO has an ego and wants to feel important, when the reality is that Juanma dont have the belt anymore and has a big enough name to secure a future fight with who ever he wants to. This only prevents a rematch for his old belt, thats it.

the refs reputation is ruined for life

the Referee's name has been ruined and tainted for life. where ever the ref goes in the future people will look at him and think ******** and dishonesty. I would think the ref sues Lopez for millions and wins.
