Comments Thread For: Photo: Juan Manuel Marquez Congratulates Orlando Salido

Three division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez was ringside in the San Juan, Puerto Rico, and watched countryman Orlando Salido retain his WBO featherweight title with a gusty ten round stoppage of hometown hero Juan Manuel Lopez. After a toe to toe war in rounds eight and nine, Salido dropped and stopped Lopez in the tenth. Last April, also in Puerto Rico, Salido stopped Lopez in the eight round to capture the title.

Agreed, JMM is the best Mexican fighter that ever lived. He has one legit loss in 60 fights imo and that was to Floyd at the age of 36, 4 divisions removed from the weight he started at.

Jmm attending his fight and congratulating him is a bigger honor than winning the fight itself

                that's what i'm talking about.

where would boxing be without them?

                what a win for salido
what a way to top off a career! two knockout W's over juanma lopez in PR. round 9 is one of the best rounds you will ever see. and that's the frontrunner for FOTY this year. it will take a hell of a fight to top that one, even if it was not very competitive.
