I saw this fight against the french man..Thompson was getting beaten up, and he won a decision by 1 point,he had some problem with his balance, the fighter he was fighting against was'nt no bum, he has a good chin, he took hard punches from Thompson at time, yet it did'nt effect
Carl Thompson should retire now.

i did. thompson most definetly did not deserve a 98-93 win on the scorecard. i had 5-4-1 to Carl and even then wasnt sure on a round or two. he established no pace against a b level fighter at best who had a big set of manboobs going at that. if he got in there with braithwaite or Mormeck, he would be done in 2 or 3 at mostOriginally posted by The_Greatestdid anyone else watch this fight?Comment

the problem is Carl isnt punchy even at 41 so I think in his mind, especially as he is in a division where a title can be won without effort, then he is still in with a chance. Also the win over Haye maybe gave him belief. Dont know where that was tonight though perhaps he left it in a taxi on the way to the Hallam.Comment

What I found funny was that this guy used to be French super middle champ!!! When he was 12?????? A few too many pastries if you ask me as he had a belly to rival even Butterbean.Originally posted by the giant onei did. thompson most definetly did not deserve a 98-93 win on the scorecard. i had 5-4-1 to Carl and even then wasnt sure on a round or two. he established no pace against a b level fighter at best who had a big set of manboobs going at that. if he got in there with braithwaite or Mormeck, he would be done in 2 or 3 at mostComment

If you can beat a fat French bloke then there isnt much chance anymore.Originally posted by welshwalesthe problem is Carl isnt punchy even at 41 so I think in his mind, especially as he is in a division where a title can be won without effort, then he is still in with a chance. Come on in, Carl, your time is up!
Carl has got OLD. He's got some great names on his resume, including two wins over Eubank (that sound is JuyJuy spraying the screen with love sap) and hot prospect David Haye.
His opponent tonight had tight defence and decent chin, but was slow and predictable. He wasn't a patch on other fighters that Carl has beaten. Sebastian Rothmann is worth ten of him.
The French guy (can't remember the name, sorry) came in with such beautiful, sultry ***** **** that I spent the first three rounds whacking off. But it became clear that Carl has just got old. REALLY old. Hell, the guy's 41.
Know how bad it was? It was BORING. That's how bad it was. When have you EVER seen Carl Thompson in a boring fight???
I had Carl losing by two rounds... it seems as if the final life of this "Cat" was a hometown decision. Carl, it's time to sit down before you get hurt.Comment

Yeah, got to agree, how he won that I'll never know, the problem now is that this will make Carl think he still has a fight or two in him, but after tonights performance the stopwatch has finally stopped!Comment
