So I'm watching the Alexander vs Maidana fight through the 8th round. At this point, I've seen Alexander blatantly hit Maidana multiple times in the back of the head right in front of Steve Smoger after he called break.

I've seen Alexander hit after the bell.

Is this the same guy that was calling Bradley dirty??

Alexander won the fight, I just thought he was dirty in doing it.

How was Maidana dirty?

There was a stretch in the 4th round or so, where Alexander landed 6 punches to the back of the head even after Smoger said stop/break.

I don't think Alexander was bad as Mares, but he fought dirty at times.

I just thought this was ironic, especially after he was calling Bradley dirty.

in that fight, i'm sure he hit him in the back of the head a few times, but it's not something i remember. I remember his movement and boxing maidana's head off.

i agree though, kind of a wussy thing to bring up. it was in no way, shape, or form a reason why maidana lost. people hit behind the head,

devon's not known as a dirty fighter, so i'm sure the style of the two played a part in it.

I know I'm gonna catch some heat and red-ks for this, but....I think a lot of black boxers fight somewhat dirty. Look at Hopkins- head, elbows, hits on the thigh. Holyfield with the head. Bradley with the head. Mayweather with the elbows. Alexander with the elbows and behind the head. Dawson throwing an opponent to the mat. Judah going low. There are a lot of examples out there.
