Comments Thread For: Ramirez Explains Rejection of Juanma's Apology, Solution

Referee Robert Ramirez explained his reasoning for rejecting the public apology of Juan Manuel Lopez. After Lopez was stopped in the tenth round of Saturday's rematch with WBO featherweight champion Orlando Salido, which took place in San Juan - Lopez called Ramirez "a gambler" and claimed the referee had a "******** problem."

Juanma better hope he doesn't run in to Ramirez in the street cause with his chin, if Ramirez touches that little weak chin of his, Lopez might go down and there will be no one there to save him like his fights against Salido.

Alright now Ramirez is getting ridiculous hes gettin a big head about it. He's lucky to be getting an apology at all, yet alone not accept one, and then go on to demand another one. He might as well shove the first apology up his @ss. He's lowered himself to the same level Juanma was on. In my eyes, Ramirez's actions are just as ridiculous as Juanma's.

Maybe JuanMa was right about him being a gambler lol There's no way JuanMa will give a heartfelt apology on Showtime/Youtube or wherever.

Ramirez should just let it go or people will start asking questions on whether or not he's a degenerate gambler.

                The ref is 100% right.

Makes perfect sense that after being badly insulted live on tv with millions watching, the apology is spoken by JuanMa with the same level of publicity.

This sounds like a reasonable solution.

I certainly am surprised that a modern day person's reputation can be damaged by being called a gambler. Today is not as it was 100 years ago. Las Vegas, Reno, Atlantic City , new York, ind indeed every city big or small has lots of gamblers living there. In several cties, some already mentiioned, and others, the main industry is ********, wholly supporting the tax base. the . The most popular TV show, which actually drags on for hours, (boring to me) is poker playing, a purely ******** game. where hundreds of thousands, even millions are won and lost.

So, in my opinion, Ramirez should consider the circumstsnces in which the insult was offered, accept the apology and allow both of them to move on.
