Let Juanma v. Salido II be a lesson to other PR fighters

You don't go from first grade to become a doctor with the same teacher, right?

When you hit a plateau with your training team, you have to switch teachers.

World Class Talent needs world class training. How in the hell sparring against Jonathan Oquendo helped Juanma against Salido is beyond my level of understanding.

Puerto Rico may have great athletic talent, but that doesn't means we have great trainers. If you have the money, do the "Batman" and try to learn from the best, and switch trainers (and training team), if necessary.

And Congratulations to the ever humble Salido and his fans.

Juanma was complacent in this fight.

Too overconfident of his own skills to study the tape with world class advisers.

Puerto Rican fighter's have the ability, the desire, but many times fall flat when it comes to the know-how.

Mexican fighter's may not have the talent or natural skill of Puerto Rican fighters, but they have many world class boxing advisers at their disposal who let them know how they can get the job done.

Also don't rematch asap, take one easy fight in the interim to get your confidence back, then chase after the rematch.

              Cotto knew what to do...

And so did De La Hoya...

These fighters falling in love with their trainers is what's hurting boxing

Juanma should of gotten someone like Castillo or any mexican boxer that fights like that. His team is not good at all either but Juanma is not a great boxer he is all Heart.

Well said that is why I think Kelly did a smart move by going to Garcia. They gotta be able to reconize when it's time for a change. Areola did it & he looks better with shields now.
