not neccessarily but i wouldn't characterize any rivalry between the two in a similar fashion to the boxing rivalry between mexico and puerto rico


they are small countries with deep boxing histories, with guys often at or around similar weight classes

they also usually generate some of the biggest ethnic followings in boxing (cotto, morales, barerra, trinidad, etc)

ok well it's small compared to russia, china, canada, the US, area wise anywya

and they dont have people like countries like india, china, the states, etc


what is there, maybe like 80-90 million people?

(edit : there's about 110 million. about a third the size of the united states.)
