If you disagree, prove your assertions with credible evidences. Show Pernell's resume side by side with Pac's. Compare the fighters they fought. Compare their styles especially in those fights that they did in their primes.
Don't come here with a dumb statement like, "Pernell is more skilled than Pac and would beat Pac at any weight" and assume that people should accept that because you say so.Comment

You guys can't really see anything beyond your narrow and biased views. Those videos are good examples to use to compare their skills against credible opponents. Actually Pac was against a better boxer in Cotto.

This guy....Whitaker in his prime would have beat Pacquiao. If Pac can't figure out Marquez, who's an ATG, how the hell would he figure out Pernell??? This is of course for those of us who actually watched boxing when Pernell was in his prime, where as a ton of people on here didn't watch boxing until 2007/2008-present......
And Pacquiao has a good resume, but not one of the best "ever". Ali and Leonard have better resume's than Pacquiao.
Liston, Frazier, Foreman, Patterson/Benitez, Hearns, Duran, Hagler > Barrera, Morales, Marquez, Cotto
All 3 are great, but Ali and Leonard have 2 of the best resume's ever. Pac has a good resume.
Im a believer that yeah there are some great old fighters...but todays day and age, boxers have better training, better facilities....better treatment for injuries etc....so in my opinion they would be better
Im not saying those old fighters dont have better resumes...but im sure arguments could be made for alotComment

Qoute, "Hey ******... you can't judge a resume just off names when you fought the fighters and under what circumstance is relevant when evaluating ones resume."Comment

You just sound like a person who always has older fighters rated higher, just because people say older boxes eras were better

Many people, including myself, argue that today's sports science is way more advanced, but we have yet to explain why most boxers today are completely spent by the 12th round and the older guys were going 15.
Today's guys are better athletes. Yesterdays guys are tougher, more durable and can go longer.
Keeping in mind that these are sweeping generalizations. No one description fits every boxer of an entire era.Comment
