    CAROLINA, PUERTO RICO - On Friday, the World Boxing Organization (WBO) and its president Francisco "Paco" Valcarcel paid tribute to Mexican world champions Juan Manuel Marquez and Jorge "Travieso" Arce, in which the fighters were presented with special rings for their achievements. The ceremony took place during the weigh-in for the rematch between featherweights Orlando Salido and Juan Manuel Lopez.

    Nice to see Puerto Ricans and Mexicans getting along. Ironic that Trinidad was never a WBO champion.

                  like I said in another thread, Puerto Rico gotta love that this country actually cares about boxing. number one most popular sport there last time I checked anyway...

                  Mexico: 1. Futbol, 2. Boxing, 3. Baseball

                  USA: 1. NFL, 2. MLB, 3. NBA, 4. NHL, 5. NASCAR, 6. UFC, 7. Boxing (Just my guess)

                  Puerto Rico: 1. Boxing, 2. Baseball, 3. Basketball

                    I'm sure Baseball is still #1 in the island. As far as boxing and basketbal is prob tied.
                    USA I would place golf in front of both MMA and Boxing.
