Now whilst we all have our opinions on who’ll win the fight, i am thrilled that Carl is at last getting his chance – now as national sporting figure – to fight, not only in England, but with luck, in Nottingham.
He might have come up short against A Ward, but that certainly doesn’t detract from the fact that if EVER a boxer deserved a homecoming, it’s Carl.
As ever, not wanting an easy fight, he’s going for the jugular and taking on an undefeated world champion. Does he know any other way?
He might not have a style that’s to everybody’s taste, and he might not be blessed with the god-given talents of his contemporaries, but he certainly has the heart and courage that EVERY fighter, and fight fan, can admire and aspire to.
Work hard, train hard, look after yourself and ALWAYS aim high and duck no one. That is Carl ‘The Cobra’ Froch.
