“I want to clarify that I have never offered any
excuses,” Lopez said of last April’s affair, in
which the Puerto Rican suffered a 5th round
knockdown and was stopped on his feet two
    rounds later.

Really Lopez??? No excuses until now, huh?

I definitely think that Salido is underrated but I think Juanma got this. I think Juanma got over confident in their first fight, his confidence went up to his head and he simply did not prepare well for the fight therefore Salido clocked that ahsssss. Juanma looked like he didn't even train and took Salido for granted cause of Salido's 11 losses in his record.

You can't compare the Juanma that fought Peñalosa, Ponce de Leon or Rafael Marquez to the Juanma that fought Salido. People in this forum have short memory span from all the weed they smoke and forget the beast that Juanma was before the Salido fight. The guy has 31 wins - 28 by KO and only fought till the twelve round once. The kid is no slouch..... The smoke went to his head is all. Juanma got this....

To me, Lopez has not looked right for a few fights leading up to his loss against Salido. He simply looked vulnerable for a couple years now. Some fighters simply have shorter primes. I think he is a fading fighter, but he may have a couple more good fights in him. We will know soon enough.

If by squeak you mean a robbery, I agree. They are in PR and Salido has acknowledged plenty of times that he can't let it go to the scorecards. He would be smart to just **** it out with Lopez like he's the underdog with nothing to lose, Salido can take his punches, Lopez can't take any one's punches from what I have seen.

gonna be too heavy leaving it as well

he's too big to fight at FW any longer

and his style is all wrong for fighting larger guys.

they moved juanma too slowly. they tried to build him like a great boxer. he wasnt. he's a 30 year old FW whose idea of defense is ****ing his glove together after he gets hit

there haven't been consistent well paying fights at 130 for years (not to mention adrien broner would rough him up,)
and at 135 there are guys that will wreck him

go back and check the record, i've been saying that ring magazine jumped the gun putting him in the top 10 p4p for years
and that he's been on the downside for some time now

                      "juanma is basically all done,"
