Pirog and Golovkin carry the exact same paper belt, they both mean nothing

True, but you can at least call yourself a former world champion at the end of your career with with the paper belts Sturm and Pirog hold. And they're valuable for negotiating purposes.

Whats so special about Pirogs titles that he dropped the interim WBA title to fight for the WBO title?

Golovkin would be the lone WBA Champion if it weren't for Sturm ducking him and being allowed to have 5 voluntary defenses in a row. Saying he's going for a real belt vs Pirog is the reason he dropped the WBA interm belt is ridiculous. Had he unified vs Golovkin the winner would no doubt be considered more legit than Sturm.

I'm not sure how my reply doesn't respond to that. The "real" organization belts are far more valuable for negotiating purposes than the interim belts are. For example, it was reported that Daniel Geale received a million dollar offer from HBO to fight Martinez. Do you think Geale would have been offered anywhere near that amount if he had an interim IBF belt? Do you think Yuri Foreman would have gotten that lucrative offer to fight Cotto if he had the interim WBA belt?

Golovkin would be the lone WBA Champion if it weren't for Sturm ducking him and being allowed to have 5 voluntary defenses in a row. Saying he's going for a real belt vs Pirog is the reason he dropped the WBA interm belt is ridiculous.
Golovkin being ducked by Sturm is all fine and dandy, but that just makes my point even stronger. Why should N'Jikam fight Golovkin when he'll just end up being ducked by Sturm as well if he wins? It's not worth the risk to fight Golovkin just to earn a fake belt that will lead him to the same ****ed up situation Golovkin is in. Might as well just go straight for Pirog's "real" WBO belt.

Had he unified vs Golovkin the winner would no doubt be considered more legit than Sturm.
By whom exactly? The dozens and dozens of hardcore internet fans? Why should N'Jikam care about that if it doesn't lead to bigger paydays?

So you're saying he should simply chase meaningless belts?

But Golovkin is holding a meaningless belt around his waist, why isnt he fighting him then, he is the WBA champ, which is a "real" one

No, Sturm holds the "real" super belt. Golvokin's title might as well be an interim title as well.

The WBA title Golovkin has holds just as much weight as Pirog's WBO title, no difference

When people look in the record books, Golovkin is the WBA champ

                  There is no difference.

Yes, there is. Golovkin's title holds no negotiating power. Nobody wants to fight Golovkin because he's too much risk for no real belt. Daniel Geale for example is willing to fight Pirog (in the states), but not Golovkin exactly because he said Golovkin doesn't have the real belt. He wants Sturm's belt, not Golovkins. I've heard Darren Barker say the same thing about Golovkin's belt, which is why he wanted Pirog. And of course there's N’Jikam! We're talking about it right now. He was willing to risk fighting Pirog because he had the real WBO belt, but not risk fighting for Golovkin's belt.

I like N'Jikam style, but he should have taken that fight with GGG but that fight will happen eventually

but please stop hyping GGG and Pirog like they can't be beat most of you probably never even see GGG fight and Pirog is getting Hype for Knocking Out and Young Prospect in Jacobs
