Roger ain't going to teach Gamboa anything, but how to become an arrogant prick. Roger is not as good of a trainer as people think. His only claim to fame is Gayweather and even at that gay is a natural so that made Roger look good. It's the same thing with Roach and Pacman.

Totally disagree with you, Tactics, Advice, preparations and general coaching is what trainers provide. IMO Roger, and as you mentioned above Freddie Roach, are top class trainers. I reckon the majority of fighters who train with them will improve. Whatever about saying Rogers claim to fame is mayweather, but saying that bout Freddie is crazy, he has trained and made awful lot of World champions

because according to an article in ******.com, there was a quote from gamboa as to why he was spotted at mayweathers boxing gym, article and a quote below according to gamboa:

so why would gamboa be training in vegas if there wasn't a contract as gamboa claimed? he did say that he was training in vegas because the fight is in vegas, and the fight he is referring to is with rios...who tf else would it be against?

If people do there homework they will know Sr trained Dawson, And Roger trained coleman the guy who got beat by paris. Now a trainer can train but a fighter has to have heart and discipline. Coleman showed alot of the moves the mayweathers are known for even vernon paris, but in the end it's the fighter who has to utilize what they know. Personally I think the Mayweathers are some of the best in the games teaching overall fighting

Steward is a good trainer if you are a speciofic type of fighter, but then again that's like most trainers. By that i mean if you have a brilliant, long, fast and snapping jab and also a killer straight right hand, he will teach you how to perfect that being aggressive. Pavlik would be a good fit for Steward. Someone already mentioned a natural and fluid fighter like Dawson where Manny got hiom thinking too much and doing things he wasn't that good at and stifled his natural style, flair and speed. Dawson looked infininitely better when he was with Floyd Sr for example. It's about fighter and trainer. Gamboa's style and natural talents/gifts are better suited to a trainer like Roger than a guy like Steard imho.
