    Kelly 'the ghost' Pavlik comeback??

Kelly Pavlik is making yet another comeback following a series of relapses due to injury/alcohol.
However this time round he has changed trainer, and moved out of his hometown of Youngstown.
For the last couple of months he has been training in the Robert Garcia Boxing Academy in Oxnard CA, under the tutelage of 2011 ring magazine trainer of the year, Robert Garcia.
He can be seen speaking, training and now sparring in youtube vids uploaded on Elie Seckbach's 'Robert Garcia reality show'. Worth a look!
He has a fight at the end of the month followed by another fight 2 weeks later on the pac verus bradely under-card. Will we be seeing the Pavlik of old sparking back to life?? If yes, It would add ****e to an already talent packed 168lb division. There is even talk of a possible rematch with Sergio Martinez depending on how will Pavlik preforms in his next few fights. What do you guys think?

I think Pavlik needs to return to 160 because I dont see him having a good shot at beating any of the top fighters at 168. A Paul Williams fight is still very interesting to me.

I agree, That sounds like a great match up, But can Pavlik make 160lb?? I've been watching some of his recent training vids, I think he wont be as good he was at his peak, but he definitely looks like hes training hard, and theres snap back in his punches! I wont be surprised if he looks dazzling in the next few tune-up fights. Cause Garcia is doing great work in Oxnard, and Pavlik fell on his feet packing up and leaving Youngstown, I reckon he had to many distractions back there. I am expecting good comeback!

Has anyone coined ""Kelly "The Ghost of Himself" Pavlik?""

I saw a few of the vids, he looked like a B+ fighter. Then again, he never looked too special even when he was kicking ass and taking names... So its tough to say... I'm going with a firm "maybe" and a sprinkling of "probably not"

would be nice to have him back though.

Pavlick seems focused so far. Lets wait for the fight before making a decision...

Pavlik isn't the sharpest technician by any means, but he's a tough son of a b*tch. With the exception of Hopkins, nobody has had an easy time w/ him and his right hand is deadly. I really hope he has a good 2nd run.

Jesus, listen to the thuds that land on Miranda. God damn...

I personally think that Pavlik needs a few tune ups at 160. He should get a lot of confidence under his belt before stepping up to the world stage again.

Once that's done if Pavlik is interested in legacy, he needs to rematch Martinez. He's got to beat him to be able to move on with the confidence that he lost.

Face your demons. Slay the dragon. Rule with iron fists.

              I wish Pavlik well.

Kelly needs to fight some cupcakes to get his confidence back, while droping down to 160, he had alot of power at 160, he looked bad above 160, he could fight BHop again at a catch weight first, how about JCC JR, Paul Williams, Martinez or Jermain Taylor, somewhere down the road. He doesn't really fit in the crowded and talented 168, Andre Ward would kill him, I think he could give anyone at 160 a good fight. He needs to start going to some AA meetings before he runs out of second chances, his career has been on a downward spiral for some time now, he will not last much longer without a change.

Pavlik could never beat Ward but the rest of the fleet I give him a decent shot with. Him and Froch would be a dream matchup.
