Both of them keep 100% of the ppv revenue when they fight now. Floyd got 100% of the American ppv against hatton and 100% against his last three opponents. As far as Manny i would guess he split with Oscar, he got 52 against hatton, 65 against Cotto and since has gotten 100%.

Now how much ppv money you think will be left over , lets say it sells 2 million due to lack of interest now. Thats 120 million. Each fighter is getting 40 mill. So thats leaves 40 million left over which goes towards paying the undercard fighters, advertising and promoting, the cable and satelitte companies get thier cut, investors, promotional companies. Now in the past if you use Oscar vs Floyd as a measuring stick, that fight generated 120 mill in revenue. Oscar got 52 mill, Floyd got 35 mill which is 87. As far as i remember pre ppv revenue the pay out was Oscar 25. Floyd 15.

So how much ppv revenue do you think will be left over after each fighter is already getting 40 mill

Floyd is cherry picking, yet he is fighting Cotto at a weight where Manny refused to rematch him. In actuality he refused to rematch him at a 150 CW too, and he was their preferred option. What would you be saying if Floyd was fighting Bradley at 147?? We all know it would go something like this: "Floyd cherry picking as usual, fighting another smaller blown up LW" blah blah blah.

Certainly at this time Manny is deserving of a large piece of the pie (50%) given his recent PPV numbers. What happens though when Pac vs Bradley does 700-800K buys and Floyd vs Cotto does 1.7-1.8, doubling Pac and beating Pac vs Cotto numbers substantially???

Daggum you are just another pahetic loser who trolls the internet because you hate life. The type of troll who probably vandalises facebook tribute pages with callous comments to get a rise out of people and make yourself feel better. New research contends that extreme trolling may be s sign of mental ill-health. Perhaps you should get that checked out you sad pathetic clown.
How can you say Hatton was much more popular than Ortiz? Hatton did not have a PPV in the US. He had his UK fans come over, but you can't say he had more US fans than Ortiz. Ortiz is pretty well known too. GBP have promoted him well.

        .
i maintain that floyd ducked cotto because facts don't change. he turned down a career high payday and asked for a ten million guarantee to fight cotto which is the same amount he got when he eventually fought oscar. was 140 pound cotto on the level of oscar? was floyd a huge draw at that point? no. priced out on purpose and if you need more evidence he also never attempted to make the fight with cotto after leaving top rank. no negotiations, no offers from the offer man floyd himself. just a retirement when everyone in the world wanted him to fight cotto. also cotto lives too far away? he's not the ceo of his own company? some of the lamest but funniest excuses ever.

are you actually mad that we aren't seeing a terrible fight? pac-cotto 2 was despised and everyone thought it was a joke, he said he wouldn't fight anyone above 147 and cotto can't fight that low so no fight. pretty simple. maybe pac's scared but it doens't matter that fight sucked.

why would ppv numbers matter at all? they don't matter to floyd right now because pac is outselling him yet floyd is offering zero percent. so if pac does worse than floyd than he might offer pac negative zero percent? good deal. if pac doesn't take it he's ducking the fight. oh no wait it's arum's fault!

Mayweather didn't think the UK revenue from the Hatton fight would be that much. He must have been gutted when the numbers came in.

Like someone said earlier, I'm sure Mayweather will let Pacquiao keep the PPV from the Philippines.
