i hate it when athletes retire too early especially when they have challenges on the horizon thus robbing the sport and fans of great match ups just like ian thorpe when michael phelps can onto the scene, just like calzaghe when roy and hop where in their 40s then retired just when his 168 division exploded, steffi graf when the sisters came, bjorn borg when mcenroe came. same thing with hamed before marquez and pac came.

Anyways, it's funny how one loss against a supposed Mexican ATG, can have the media and fans basically write you off as a hype job and have you losing every single fantasy fight. Then how big was that win for Barrera if this guy is seen as such a bum? You can't have it both ways, it's either MAB was too great for Naseem and Naseem was a very good fighter, or MAB is just good but Naseem sucks.


I'm not sure if Morales beats him. But I can see Pacquiao and Marquez beating Hamed.

Marquez was his mandatory for over 2 years, there is reason why Hamed never fought him, Hamed avoided him like May avoids PAC, when MAB best him he told the media that he knew at 10 Mexican fighters at that weight that could beat Hamed.

Hamed is underrated, was a really good FW and that was a great win for Barrera. I still don't see him beating any of them though. And had he beaten Barrera, he probably would have went up to 130 and fight Mayweather in 01' and got killed.
