Comments Thread For: Povetkin vs Rahman Clash in Late May, in Moscow?

According to sources, WBA "regular" champion Alexander Povetkin (24-0, 16 KOs) is possibly going to make his mandatory defense against former WBC champion Hasim Rahman (50-7-2, 41KOs) in late May. Povetkin's manager Vladimir Hryunov has approached Sauerland Event to discuss the possibility of staging Povetkin-Rahman in Moscow. Hryunov expects a final decision, on the date and location, in the next couple of days.

Real tough fight this. Povetkin really stretches himself.

He'll KO Rahman and then duck Wlad, again.

What a fight! This year's shaping up to be amazing for the heavyweight division - first Wlad vs Mormeck and now this treat!

This fight will be more competitive and action packed. Rahman is probably a little bigger than Povetkin and is a true hw as opposed to Mormeck.

considering how awful povetkin locked against huck, i think rahman can win this.

This is a pretty decent HW fight if Rahman comes in good shape.

I'm surprised Povetkin would agree to this fight so soon in May after he looked awful in his last fight.
