I doubt Arum ****s on him by sitting him, unless Gamboa is really set on leaving. Arum could have shelved Donaire as well, but a deal was worked out and he continued to build Donaire up getting him the Vazquez fight and soon to be another decent scrap.

IMO I see a scenario in which Yuri doesn't face Rios, works out his issues with Top Rank and signs to fight some contender in the fall.

I hope this works out because I felt Top Rank was ready to get Yuri some big fights if he got past Rios (possible 2 fights away from a Pacquiao showdown).

Let's say he were to get past Rios. What would have more than likely happened was he would have gotten a fight a 140 in the fall, and then would have met Pacquiao in early 2013.

I can't see any scenario, under any other promoter, that would have given Yuri that type of opportunity.
