Chisora vs Wlad is interesting because this is a heavyweight who isn't afraid, who throws body shots, who moves his upper body to avoid punches and close distinace, who fights inside and has a high work rate.
Yes, he's lost 3 times. One was a farce (a fit Chisora puts Tyson Fury to sleep), another a robbery (nobody can seriously claim Helenius deserved the nod), and the latest was the first time somebody has really challenged a Klitschko in the last 6-7 years. If you can overlook the Fury farce, you can easily justify him as an opponent for Wladimir.
I'd fancy Chisora against Wladimir. I don't think Chisora had the power to hurt Vitali but he made Vitali feel a lot of pain. I don't think Wladimir has the same kind of resistance and we could see another "wall" moment like his loss to Brewster.
Don't get me wrong; Chisora is a tit. However, he can fight, he has heart, he can take a shot, he's young, hungry, and he has a gameplan. Or do people want to see Wladimir knocking over more Mormecks? Old, no plan, doesn't throw punches, just survives for a few rounds and sets up another highlight reel for Wlad. Frankly, that fight was more embarrassing for the sport than the Chisora Haye altercation.
It says volumes that the boxing world condemns Chisora and Haye for a bit of fisticuffs in a bar, then condones a totally embarrassing match up for supposedly the best heavyweight of our era.Last edited by charlieg; 04-04-2012, 07:57 AM.

Chisora lost nearly every round to a 40 year old one armed Vitali. But it wasnt enough to get his ass kicked just once, he had to get it kicked a second time in less than 24 hours by a retired fighter in David Haye. Why on earth should Wlad fight chisora?

But it doesnt change the fact that he lost his last 3 of 4 and hasnt even had a decent victory in almost 2 years.
What is it with you people and simply bandwagoning on UK HWs who simply have big mouths but cant win? You guys must be WWE fans.

By the end of the fight, the body work had accumulated and Vitali looked very ropey in the final 3 rounds, gulping for air and his technique deteriorating. Chisora made it a fight. It is the first fight Vitali has been in since Lennox Lewis. Wladimir hasn't had a fight in years, even David Haye failed to really make any dent on Wlad, and most people just wilt under the jab and the right.

Im not saying Vlad should never face Chisora, im just saying immediately. If Chisora gets a good win or 2 then im all for it. Just not piggy backing from 1 brother to the next.
Im sorry but you dont go from being projected a complete mismatch to be KO'd against Vitali to deserving a fight after clearly losing a fight, no matter how much better you looked then most opponents
