Gamboa has the world at his feet if he beats rios hes a little small though would like to see him stay at lightweight now no further then that at im going for a gamboa win i suspect he might hit the canvas in this one maybe once or twice though.

Let's Hope Rios Brings It & Not Just His Talk!

I'm pretty tired of today's fighters having a lot to say, then under perform come fight night, and just steal themselves a paycheck.

not for nothing but when has Rios NOT brought it?

say what you will about him his mouth his antics etc

but once in the ring he ALWAYS brings it. That shouldn't even be a question

I see this fight going either way

I give Gamboa a lot of respect for even taking this fight, beause Rios will give him a war, and nothing less, but I think he made a mistake.
If Rios wins its by knock out in the late rounds, but if Gamboa wins he will out box Rios to a 12 round decision. I'd be very surprised if Gamboa knocks Rios out, he couldn't even knock out Salido and Rios is a much bigger, stonger, and hits harder then Salido, no way I see Gamboa knocking this vato out. Rios show the boxing world who you are ese.

Was I the only one here who watched the Gamboa-Salido fight? Gamboa barely squeeked out of that one and in my opinion Rios is simply a bigger, younger, stronger, more polished version of Salido... easy work for Bam Bam if you ask me

Eaner, what's going on, man? The rumors are flying around that this fight is in jeopardy because Gamboa isn't happy with the terms. There's another post on here that Yuri hasn't shown up for today's press conference. Can you shed any light?

I predict the Guantanamo Cyclone is going to torture Rios in this fight. Brandon is tough, strong and heavy handed and Gamboa is in for some heat but as long as the Cuban doesn't sucker himself into macho recklessness by trying to take Rios on physically he can prove himself a class above and slowly break down the bigger man. Yuri boxed at lightweight in some early pro fights and I don't see it as a quantum leap for him to go back to 135 now. Gamboa is a stinging puncher. I see Rios getting hit a lot early and the accumulative effect can deprive Brandon of the strength he might otherwise be expected to produce down the stretch. Gamboa by UD.

no yo not, but you the only one that think Gamboa barely won that fight, as of matter of fact the reason that fight was not a KO win for the Cuban it was because the foul... So I think you are just a little bit biased.

At first glance I thought maybe Gamboa might have a chance, but now as the fight gets closer, reality is setting in that If you look at the facts, Gamboa doesn't have much of a chance at all in beating the bigger stronger younger Rios, It's just to much of a natural gap in weight between the two, Its like a welterweight trying to move up to 160. If Acosta, who I thought was a decent boxer, certainly much bigger than Gam and skillful, couldn't beat Rios, I doubt Gamboa could, he'll probably do good for a few rounds just like Acosta did but thats it. Gamboa is just after money at this point imo bcuz he's 30yo+ and just looking for big paydays, tbh there's no where for him to go if he ended up getting the victory anyway but back down to 130 he certainly can't beat Marquez or Guerreo or move up to 140 and be a major threat.. I want to see Gamboa vs Broner at 130 anyway..
