gamboa is really high skilled but we havent seen him in this weight, rios punches are so heavy that he makes the fighters stop n trade with him, thats what happen to peterson n acosta, u cant ignore his punches, rios has a good defense for a foward coming fighter, but hes also knos how to cut off the ring n his real patient in the ring, i want rios to win but if gamboa can look like a 135-140lb guy he takes it, great fight its a toss up

          Gamboa vs Rios

Gamboa is to small and Rios is going to KO him late in the fight when the body punching and constant pressure of Rios starts to break down the smaller Gamboa. I dont think Gamboa punches hard enough to stop the attack of Rios who is a over size light weight and should be moving to 140 his next fight. I love Rios, because its only **** talking if your not backing it up, this kid has a heart the size of Kansas, personally I want to see Gamboa vs Broner at 130, thats a better match up far as size and speed.

Gamboa is the future of this sport (Funny since he is what......30?) he will have all his skills on display when he beats Rios.

Gamboa's skill set is far and beyond Peterson or Acosta. Rios will have his hands full with the hand speed and foot speed of Gamboa. Ironically I see Yuri walking Rios into power shots all night long and breaking him down for a mid to late stoppage.

                  Gamboa

i think forgot that acosta put rios in bad condition around second round in their fight , and Gamboa is a superior fighter...

Well, there's no doubt who the better and faster boxer is, who the more likeable guy is and who the (fan) favourite is. It's Gamboa. And I really do hope that he'll knock that clown out but the clown is right - he needs to pressure him constantly and land one or two big shots and see how Gamboa will cope with them.

There's no doubt that Gamboa will trade with Rios but he has to use his feet throughout the whole fight and stay away from the ropes as much as he can. Keep the fight in the center and Rios will most def. walk into something big. Gamboa has power in both hands too.

Going to be a great fight and is surprising to see two Champions, in their prime, fight eachother. Much respect to Gamboa for pulling a JMM, in jumping a few weightclasses, but i think Brandon Rios is going to pullout a Late Round Stoppage. It all depends of how well Rios cuts off the Ring and how well Gamboas power carries over to Lightweight. Im sure the speed will be there, for the Cuban whose first name i cannot spell, however Rios has taken some hard shots from above average Lightweights and walked thru them, so i think he will be able to do the same with Gamboa. Like i said, Much Respect, but i got my Money on Rios
