Billy Dib of Australia, and Mexico's Eduardo "Quill" Escobedo, went face to face. They battle on Wednesday at the Derwent Entertainment Centre Hobart in Tasmania, Australia - for the featherweight championship of the International Boxing Federation (IBF), which is held by Dib. At 26 years of age, Dib has a professional record of 33 wins, 20 of them by knockout, in exchange for a single defeat. Escobedo, who gets his second world title shot, has a record of 32 wins, 23 by knockout and three defeats. The referee will be Ernie Sharif of the United States, and the judges are Sanong Im Au (Thailand), Adelaide Byrd (USA) and Pawel Kardyni (Poland) and the supervisor is Ray Wheatley.
