Both Russian and Dempsey are right. Golden Boy has an exclusive deal with The Barclays Center. The plan was for Paulie Malignaggi to headline the first show. That can still go down if Malignaggi beats Senchenko. Even if he losses to Senchenko more than likely he will still be on the card. But, someone like Quillin will headline the card.

Now Golden Boy is in tight with Showtime. They're basically running it right now. CBS being Showtime parent company I see this announcement being that The Barclays Center deal will be connected with the CBS deal.

I can see the first show being a double header of Quillin and Malignaggi. It is going interesting how it will go down. But, I have no faith in Golden Boy. Hopefully they do well but I have my doubts. I'm very disappointed at what they have done with Showtime so far since Golden Boy attorney took over.

Better not be Malignaggi. Like seriously. Why would they try to kill the deal from the get go.

I'm so anxious to see what the big announcement is. I see the first reasonable possiblity being a cbs network deal with Golden Boy Promotions. The longshot second possibility would be an Oscar comeback. I don't see it being Sturm but I could see it being against Ricky Hatton at 147 or 150. Both went out ugly vs pac, and one of them could redeem themselves. The fight prob could do 800k- a mil ppv buys. Now if Oscar was to make a comeback and say its against Chavez jr. Now that would be epic n would sell 1.2-1.5 mil ppv buys guaranteed. As an Oscar fan, I don't think he could beat Chavez right now at this stage in his career. Somebody like Hatton would be the best reasonable fight.

A HW title fight, like Wladimir vs Arreola would make sense. But, that isn't happening. However, it can happen the month after. And, Epix is behind the HW division so it got a network. It would make sense.

But, the opener goes to Golden Boy.
