    Editor's Note:
The WBA has since denied the information circulated by Khan, and stand firm that Peterson is still the WBA's super champion at 140-pounds.

evidently the WBA is denying all of this. when we regularly see so many strange things happen with these organizations you get used to them. it's amazing what you can get used to.

i honestly dont give a damn about the belts these days. the fighters do. it probably looks and feels great on the wall, it makes them money, etc.

with bradley fighting at WW the fight between khan and peterson is between the two best jr WW in the world

one is going to use his fast hands and feet and flurry and move around. and the other one is going to come forward and throw body punches
it will be another very good fight. i dont give a damn what the WBA says about it to be frank.

Hey folks, have you heard the Floyd Mayweather Jr. interview conducted by Costas of NBC on national TV? Check it out and find out the complete truth from Floyd Mayweather Jr. himself why he is not fighting Manny Pacquiao. A very interesting interview shown nationwide.

Paulie I respect on his views. However he also can have a big mouth too and made plenty of excuses after that bout.

Cooper to me should have stopped the fight, sent Peterson to the corner and given a very strong warning before the 2nd deduction. Quite often refs do that.

Khan was pushing a lot, but it was not violent. There are others who push and particularly hold. Hding is illegal, full stop and stops the other opponent doing what he wanted to. Holding has affected many fights also.

I don't mind deductions for pushing, but the. There needs to be consistency on holding, slapping etc...
It's hard to have consistency when each ref has his own ideas. I don't really see why the ref needed to stop the action which he'd kept going along nicely, just to give Khan a stern warning. My opinion during the fight was that the ref was doing very nicely, and not being too obtrusive. In my opinion he is a good ref. Khan is grown up, and supposed to know the rules. What he was doing was pushing them to extremes and he got burned. I believe that the ref, when he took the first point gave him a strong warning and waved the action on almost immdeiately. That's his style, to keep the action going.

Again, Khan pushed very violently, harder than anyone I've ever seen, and was doing it repeatedly when it wasn't neccessary, to disconcert his opponent's rhythym, give himself distance so that he could fire off a few rapid point getters. Taking too much advantage, he deserved the penalties. As for Froch, I didn't know that he disliked Khan. He said he was giving an unbiased opinion. I suppose that for some people Khan is an easy person to dislike.
