Or with Chambers, Chagaev, Haye, Ibragimov, Brewster, Brock, Byrd, etc. All of those names were fighters either under 220 or right by it that were dominated by Wlad. Either way, we have super and junior attached to every other weight class why not make a super HW class?
The Klitshcko's are crushing because they're good and there isn't a better smaller man out there. Other giants aren't faring hardly as well. Chambers, Haye, Adamek, Byrd, Holyfield once upon a time...all have beaten so-called Super Heavyweights they were better than. Why make a Super Heavy class? So Dimitrenko can wade through even worse comp and never get bounced around by Chambers? So we can't see Byrd get off the floor and beat McCline? So we can't see the epic Bowe-Holy thrillogy or Evander almost coming back to beat Lewis in the rematch? Adamek outboxing Arreola?

There have always been Super Heavyweights. Buddy Baer, Abe Simon, George Godfrey, Harry Wills (though not as heavy), Gerry Cooney. It's Heavyweight. That's part of the allure.

    Super Heavy division? Nonsense.

I don't think Byrd landed many more than 3 punches in his second fight with Wlad.

Klit was that much better than him that night. No need to create another division because of the dominance of two.

Correct, there's no need to create another division.

What I would like to see:

          1) The Klitschkos fight some big HWs like Wach, Dimitrenko, Price, Fury, Helenius, etc. No more cruiserweights - better a mediocre big man than another cruiserweight.

          2) The cruiserweight-sized HWs like Mormeck, Chambers, Adamek and others should lose a few pounds and fight at cruiserweight. The CW division should receive more TV coverage and media attention in the US (maybe Tarver will help, his next fight will be on Showtime).

At the rate he was at, he would have landed 9 punches over 12. He was also tired so by round 6 his workrate may have dropped too.

Basically, he had 6 punches for a KO.

In another note, there has to be a Super Heavyweight division so the 220s HWs can compete while we watch more competetive fights.
We already have a division for 210-220 pound boxers, it's called CW. What exactly would be the purpose of making 240 lb fighters drain down to 220 to keep from having to face the Valuev types in the SHW division?

Size eventually becomes more of a hindrance than an asset as far as endurance, coordination or speed. Which is why Wlad gassed out in 4 rounds against Brewster, before learning to pace himself. And with 17 divisions, 4 belts a piece totalling 68 current belts, I'll pass on adding another 4.

As for Mormeck, he wasn't doing anything that would justify taking any more punishment in extending this mismatch.

Price ain't ready and Dimitrenko is SORRY. Fury and Helenius might be ready by year's end. Would dig those.

If it's nonsense why do they have it in the amateurs? By there being super and regular divisions in the HW class doesn't mean that all the people I mentioned can't challenge the super heavies if the wanted to move up to that class, it wouldn't be any different than other fighters moving up and down in weight. I can see your point though. And i wasn't taking anything away from the Klits they are extremely good i recognize that and appreciate it as well. All i want is the smaller HW's to have a competitive division to compete in, I see no one beating a Klit anytime soon.

Tell Mormeck To Stay On His Feet & Those Things Won't Happen!

I get tired of these clowns crying 'victim', because the judges weren't fair or they thought their fight was stopped too soon. Haye, Mormeck, Ortiz, Khan, just to name a few. You get ONE shot. Show up in shape, fight your ass off, then take the outcome like a man. If you think it was stopped too soon, if you think you're weren't hurt that bad, if you think the judges didn't score it more in your favor, then YOU didn't do enough, to remove ALL doubt in everyone's eyes, to win the fight and shame on you. YOU made the fight too close. YOU got hurt, YOU got knocked down. YOU didn't do enough. YOU don't warrant a rematch, or two rematches, or three rematches, or four... ie: Juan Manuel Marquez. I mean, seriously get it right the first time and accept the decision like a man. Quit *****ing.
