What you should be thinking is,
ALI wouldn't be called the greatest if he was Ducking and Dodging like Floyd.
In the end we humans choose our path. Ali chose the path of greatness. Some choose the path of self preservation (Floyd).
What we got from the interview is how disrespectful of Floyd to even bring up Ali 's mistake of fighting the hardest fight there is. It was Ali 's choice. It is only Ali who can say if he made a mistake or not, but we do know he loves the fans and he loves boxing.
It seems legends are born to rise and be great, but some just bark and bark that they are great but they don't actually prove it in the ring. All bark and no bite. (floyd) - remember Floyd loves saying he is the greatest pac never says these silly things.

The legacy and HOF spot are already secure, now they are taking the fights with the most financial upside. It may not result in the fights we want to see as fans, but they have worked their entire life in the sport and are making the most money possible before it's over.
I understand the frustration with it, but I also understand their choices this late in the game.Last edited by Spoon23; 03-04-2012, 07:27 PM.

If Floyd wants to hand picked his opponents late in the game. Then Floyd shouldn't be calling himself the Greatest. That is an insult to Ali who keeps on proving himself over and over in the ring even late years of his career. That my friend is what greatness is all about.
To end Pac never mentioned he is the greatest, it is only floyd who harps that he is, and he seems to not walk the walk

Floyd tries to fight someone with something he wants, but they arent neccesarily the best fighters. He dont neccesarily pick a list of the most dangerous fighters and say i want him.
Case in point Cotto has something Floyd wants and is available. A good test though not neccesarily the hardest fight out there.

What good is it to be considered great when you don't even have your health? Your health is the most important thing you have and you think its great for some guy to risk it or the entertainment of blood thirsty fat asses that he will probably never meet? Floyd is already considered a great fighter by most "boxing fans." That is why most people you ask about the super fight have Floyd winning it. Marquez fought Pac three times and each time has taken Pac to the trenches and even he says Floyd beats Pac. Stop reaching bro, because if this fight were to happen you will be incredibly disappointed in the outcome.

Floyd considers his unbeaten record his legacy, rather than fight great fighters and take risks and challenges like fighting in other country and someones backyard. He tries to strke the right balance of a calculated risk and if it sways to much in the way of too dangerous he wont take it.
But that is just holding his career back. He should fight and if he loses, then so be it. Its how he comes back that will maketh him. Every great fighter has had a loss and its how they came back that made them. It sounds ridiculous but a loss would be good for Floyd. If he retires like hamed well that wont be good. But if he continues to kick butt and looks like he came back even better well that is a champion, ie Pac.Last edited by hugh grant; 03-04-2012, 07:43 PM.

Numb nuts.
Of course Floyd wants to be considered great but not at the risk of his health. Self preservation is in the DNA of every human being on this planet. That is why we eat, sleep, and F()CK. Stop acting like Mayweather is the only boxer to ever fight primarily for himself and his family. Bro, all boxers fight for themselves first!
