And he doesn't just have the ability to clinch; it's his number one defensive weapon and he gets away with it to excess in some fights (oddly, not Peter II where Peter was holding on for a long period because he couldn't do anything else).
People still seem to underestimate his speed and athleticism. Byrd, Ibragimov, Chagaev, Chambers, Haye all said the same thing, i expected to have a big speed advantage and couldn't believe that he was just as fast as me.

Perhaps the most interesting aspect of the Haye fight (and there weren't many) is how it showcased Volodymyr's athleticism imo. His upperbody reflexes and footwork were just as fast as Haye's, probably the only impressive feature in that fight.

I agree with most of this but I think you have to factor in length and accuracy there. I think his raw speed is maybe a tick slower than, say, Haye, but he does everything right with his advantages so he takes away that tick.

Lol yessir. . . Vitali is far from a one punch KO artist. . He wears you down with pinpoint accurate jabs, straight rights, and "jabber-cuts". . . He "STEP-BACK" counter punches people to death with his precise gauging of range and distance. . . and reflexes = FELINE!

Roldie I got nothing but respect for your fistic write-ups, but a lot of times I have just thought that you try to downplay the Klitschko Brothers for how good they are. Do you honestly think that either one of these guys wouldn't be AT LEAST competitive in any era?

I've said as much. There are some eras where they would have ruled out and they're big time contenders in any. There are a lot of former Heavyweight champs I think they beat and most I think they couldn't are in that, 'well, if it takes him to beat the best of the K's, the K's must be pretty special themselves.'

I'd agree with that. Against Haye he just looked more fluid overall with his movements especially his upperbody. He was dropping his left and actually using shoulder rolls on occasion, his defense pre-Stewart involved alot of reflex based D much like Vitali's and he was using some of that, found it interesting.

Did they really have to list Mc's height at 5'11" and a half? Why not just 6 feet or 5-11. Wow. He looks 5'9"

Let me get this straight. Mormeck is old, short, slow and has no punching power. This should be a GREAT fight!!!

Wlad has once again put himself in a fight where the only way he can come out of this looking good is if he stops his guy early -- lets be honest, Mormeck is done. If he carries Mormeck past the 8th haters will emerge again.
