why would people not want to see Broner.. his last fight was one of the most entertaining ive seen in a while.. his salsa dance with perez, the ko and the ko dance (even if it was a little low to do that) and the people want entertainment

It still doesn't sit well with me that Cortez forced his body on top of Kirkland. For all we know, Kirkland could have survived the round and come back to stop Ishida. He did it against Angulo

GBP has an excellent stable, but Kirkland is the best option if they want to guarantee name recognition and an exciting, eventful fight, and that includes Maidana.

Assuming he can win against the underrated, slick Molina, Kirkland vs. a top 20 contender is a great fight, whether its uncompetitive or not.

Network TV won't be willing to pay as much as HBO and Showtime, so GBP will have a limited budget and won't be able to put on the fights they could if they had one. They'll have to be smart and get recognizable fighters that can make for an exciting fight. Kirkland is a good option, Canelo might be another (though it wouldn't be against Kirkland), Maidana is another, and a Shobox level fight (prospect vs prospect) to open the telecast.
