Vladimir Hryunov, manager of WBA "regular" heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin (24-0, 16KOs), would love to stage a huge Eastern Euro showdown between his boxer and WBA/IBF/IBO/WBO champion Wladimir Klitschko (56-3, 49KOs). Povetkin has to face mandatory challenger Hasim Rahman next, while Wladimir takes on Jean Marc Mormeck on Saturday in Dusseldor and then likely defends against IBF mandatory Tony Thompson in July.

He should rematch Huck. That performance makes me think that he doesn't have what it takes right now to beat one of the K bros

Hryunov is a liar. He calls for Klitschko fight NOW because he knows Wlad has to beat Mormeck and Thompson first. After that, he'll find 7 different excuses not to fight Wladimir, just like when Povetkin was IBF mandatory.

haven't seen the huck fight unfortunately but either way, klitschkos kill any contender or "regular" title holder, povetkin included. i think the tough fight with huck got them thinking they should get that big paycheck now before an L gets handed to them by someone else. but when wladimir beats him, will he just have to give the wba the regular belt back? i personally think the regular belt looks better than the 'super' one. the 'super' champion belt looks like a cheap ring knockoff.

In Soviet Russia, titlefights chase contenders.
