Of course he has nowhere ot go, because he has been everywhere. Over the last four years or so Froch has the best resume in boxing in terms of quality of opposition faced, while not making any BS demands on location, weight and so on. If every fighter was like Carl Froch we´d have no problems in boxing.

Cleverley at 175, providing the Welshman still has the title. Would be a huge domestic fight. A loss to Bute, and i'm sure Cleverley's team will be willing to offer a last chance for Froch.

I don't write off Carl's chances against Bute as fast as everyone else wants to do in this one but the Cleverly scenario is an obvious one if he loses.

Imagine a year down the road if Froch takes the title off him and Enzo is at 175.

Could we potentially see Carl Froch vs. Enzo Macc? Who would have ever thought that fight was possible a year ago?

If he loses to Bute, maybe he should try and go to 175??? I can see Froch being very competitive with the likes of Cleverly, Cloud, Campillo, Pascal, Erdei, etc. I don't think he'd beat Hopkins or Dawson, and probably not Campillo either. But I think he could do alright at 175.

If he gets absolutely dominated by Bute, I don't see a problem with him retiring. He's a good fighter all-time, not an ATG at all obviously, but Carl Froch has had a good career.

He has Kessler II and Pascal II, and isn't there like a 2 fight deal with Bute, win or lose?

All I know is that he will stay far away from Andre Dirrell, Anthony Dirrell and Andre Ward. And even Dawson and Hopkins.

He should fight Kessler, Cloud, Pascal, guys like that. But I think Kessler beats him again and Pascal beats him in a rematch. I don't know about Cloud, that guy sucks at the top level.

He can have more fights in the UK and later have a rematch against Kessler. At least he wasnt afraid of traveling out of his comfort zone to fight the best. He did not try to save his 0 and took risks. Risks that other fighters didnt take because they were afraid of flying and germany television was enough for them. I applaud him for that.

I think LHW isn't a bad shout. Cleverly and Cloud are beatable and a rematch with Pascal would be a exciting match up.

There are fights like Castillo which I would love to see, Shumenov. Even domestically theres Maccarinelli. He's career would be far from over losing to Kessler, Ward and Bute is nothing to be ashamed of.
