he should
Floyd won't do it with 1 big punch, but he'll grind Cotto down
Cotto is slow and has no defense
Cotto might not hit the deck, but Floyd will get a TKO
ref or the corner will stop the fight
One time he says Cotto is NOW undefeated, and the poster of the article states and undefeated record for Cotto
then JR states he will remember those two defeats LOL
Cotto is not nearly as good as he was in the first Margo Fight but his trainer is BETTER !!!!
IF Cotto would have had this good cuban trainer instead of his uncle he would have won that fight and not lost his confidence. I hope he truly has regained it because:
JR is a mind manipulator. Some it works on some it don't. Jr MUST get into someones head. The day he meets the guy that won't allow it and has skills with gameness to take JR to the trenches is the day that JR loses.
I am concerned for Cotto, I thought Margo was really getting to him before the docs stopped the fight. So I really don't know how much confidence Cotto really has back.
I hope he has his true confidence back.
In my opinion , for him to beat JR, he has to aggressively attack from the beginning with sharp shots to the body or elbows to his biceps, just hammer and then sneak some other shots on top. He must use that quick jab and not abandon it. Then when JR is on the ropes and grinning he will have to press him harder than ever to wipe that grin off. Jr grins when he thinks he has you and his opponent begins to give it up. So when the grinning starts and it will, then Cotto will have to wipe that grin off.
This fight must be better that when JR lost to Castillo in their first fight. We all know Castillo was robbed.
IF its close I hope for boxings sake that Cotto is not robbed if he truly wins the nice fight !
Maybe a good shot from Cotto which is his strongest opponent ever will give JR a taste of his own medicine, the canvas.
IF Cotto don't do something in the first 4 rounds he is done and OVER , next.
If Floyd's knock Cotto out or stops him at 154, I'll be shocked. Cotto is basically the same guy he was in 09', he'll never be prime like he was from 2003-2008, but he's still good. I just don't see Floyd stopping him at 154 lbs at all.
Funny how people say a hard shot from Cotto could drop Floyd, I don't see it. Floyd has a pretty underrated chin. Yes, he was buckled by Mosley, but Mosley is a huge one punch guy, no doubt. Those 2 punches that Floyd took in the 2nd round of the Mosley would have dropped a lot of people. Floyd has possibly the greatest D ever, it's up there with Pernell's for sure, and he has a pretty underrated chin.
