I see what he means at times. This is something that bugs me (and some other people I've spoken to) and Emanuel Steward to a point. When he gets tagged clean, he tries to shoulder roll and goes into these needless knee dips where he tries to Whitaker it too. He used to recover quickly (like when Zab clocked him, he did it but recovered fairly quickly...which also helped Zab didn't let his hands go..). He was moving his upper body less and moving with his legs a bit more while he was with Steward, which I liked. He seemed to have retained that now and clinches as needed, as opposed to when it's too late. Good on him for adjusting, but still not enough....

Still, Cotto is more skilled and slick than he's given credit for because he had that body punching "destroyer" rep tied to him. His combination punches are also underrated, as is his jab. We saw how effective it was against Shane and Zab, two very fast guys.

Floyd didn't not invent the shoulder roll. For all we know he tried it after watching James Toney.

sadly the pre fight build up will be the only thing entertaining about this fight.

Who knows, but we do know he watched Floyd, that's why everybody says he might have tried to incorporate some of the things he saw in Floyd. I don't think there's anything wrong with it, personally. Props to a fighter for trying to better himself.

Yea like when hes backpedaling lmao

and I really wonder how many buys this fight will do if floyd doesn't resort to trash talking

This fight might even do less than 1 mill

The shoulder roll, and half the stuff Floyd does, is/was taught by older trainers in Michigan. This has been touched on before, it's not exclusively his father. It's stuff that is picked up in gyms there by trainers who's names we don't even know.
