5'8" isn't pretty tall. Not for a guy in the US. It is about average. Who knows when both of them were measured? There is supposedly a difference between a person's morning and evening height. Besides, what difference does a half inch to an inch make? Why are you splitting hairs? They're pretty much the same height, making it a non-issue come fight time.
